	{"id":688,"date":"2024-01-07T05:26:27","date_gmt":"2024-01-07T05:26:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/netineti.info\/?page_id=688"},"modified":"2024-01-09T15:37:21","modified_gmt":"2024-01-09T15:37:21","slug":"netineti","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/netineti.info\/","title":{"rendered":"Neti Neti"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Neti Neti was born from an idea developed by Nina Beliaff and Hilary Stabler.&nbsp;Hilary had decided to move to India and base herself either in Meherabad or Amednagar.&nbsp; They decided that Hilary could send a letter describing her experiences each month.&nbsp; This letter would be called \u2018Nagar News\u2019.&nbsp; The newsletter Neti Neti would be organised around this monthly item, with other feature articles as well. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nina worked tirelessly putting the issues together and the monthly Nagar News would arrive from Hilary.&nbsp; Their first issue came out in November 1979.&nbsp;Nina worked in higher education and printing was arranged thru her contacts and in time John Pullen would collect the finished product and all would be assembled and mailed to subscribers.&nbsp; Nina and Hilary continued for 24 issues, with their last being in the spring of 1982.&nbsp; Hilary eventually moved back to England and helped out with a few issues before moving to Wales. The Nagar News continued with the help of several individuals residing in India and included, among others, Peter Booth, Meredith Klein and Janaki. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From 1984 until the last issue in 2014, issue no 41 &#8211; issue 199, the base of operations was Don Steven\u2019s flat on Hammersmith Grove in London.\u00a0 During this time the newsletter also took on an international dimension and would include French translations of articles.\u00a0Intense discussions were often the preparatory stage of articles, especially regarding Don&#8217;s articles, which reflected his international work and issues.
